Diatomites from Dúbravica at Banská Bystrica as filtration material

Abstract: Diatomites (kremelina) from D´ubravica at Bansk´a Bystrica, Slovakia, are found to be of high purity. For best results in filtration it is necessary to boil natural diatomites with 10% HCl; after washing and burning with Na₂CO₃, aggregates are ground and sifted.
