Electrolytic reactions of manganese(II) ions in the presence of oxygen

Abstract: The electrolytic reactions of Mn(II) ions in solns. contg. O were studied by oscillographic polarography and other polarographic methods. The formation of Mn(OH)₂ on the surface of the electrode was detd. Mn(OH)₂ either forms metallic Mn by redn. or Mn(OH)₃ by oxidn.
