Oscillopolarographic behavior of platinum metals

Abstract: Solns. of Pt metals in KBr, KI, HCl, and ethylenediamine sulfate (I) electrolytes were studied by oscillographic polarography. I proved very suitable to det. Pd, Ir, and Rh in the presence of Pt and Au by comparative titrations. The detn. of Rh in HCl soln. was very sensitive and can be used in the presence of larger amts. of Pt, Pd, and Au. Ru in HCl soln. also showed an anodic wave, but the sensitivity was 0.1 that for Rh. Os showed characteristic waves in KBr and KI.
