Selectivity of solvolysis of acetic-anhydride in the water alcohol system

Abstract: The rate of solvolysis of acetic anhydride in water—alcohol mixtures was measured. The concentrations of products of the solvolytic reaction in neutral as well as alkaline medium were determined chromatographically.
