M. Kulhánek

Biochemical Research Institute, Prague

Abstract: Compn. of substrate, fermentation, and cultivating conditions for biosynthesis of riboflavine (I) by Eremothecia ashbyii were studied. The lab. yields were 300-400 γ I in 1 ml. of fermenting soln.; the highest yield was 440 γ. Ashbya gossypii did not produce better yields than other kinds of yeast.
