Abstract: The following new compds. were prepd.: bis(tetrahydrofurfuryl) phosphite (I), b0.06, 134-6°, nD20 1.4735, d20 1.2046, by heating to 170°, 127.5 g. tetrahydrofurfuryl alc., 69.05 g. di-Et phosphite and 1 g. Na; bis(tetrahydrofurfuryl) chlorophosphate (II), nD20 1.4750, d20 1.1672, by heating to 45-50°, 13.4 g. finely powd. N-chlorosuccinimide (III) in 150 ml. CCl4 to which was added at once 25 g. I; bis(tetrahydrofurfuryl) fluorophosphate, b0.005 112-16°, nD20 1.4495, d20 1.2496, by boiling. II (prepd. from 36.8 g. I and 19.63 g. III) 1 hr. in 150 ml. acetone with 11 g. NH4F. The prepns. of known dicyclohexyl chlorophosphate, nD20 1.4772, d20 1.1691, and fluorophosphate, nD20 1.4785, were re.ovrddot.examd.
