The determination of thiamine and ribofiavine in some food concentrates

Abstract: A fluorimetric method for the detn. of the thiamine and riboflavine in some food products was described. Both vitamins are detd. in the same sample, the thiamine is sepd. from the riboflavine by adsorption on a cation exchanger and the riboflavine is detd. in the eluate. There is a loss of 56.5% riboflavine if the analyses are made in daylight as compared with the analyses in the dark. By this method thiamine and riboflavine were detd. in dehydrated soups and some sterilized ready-made meals.
