Modification of Ethylene—Vinyl Acetate Copolymer by Acrylamide in Solid State

Abstract:  Mechanochemical modification of ethylene — vinyl acetate copolymer by acrylamide in solid state has been studied. When radicals were introduced into the system by preirradiation of acrylamide, the modification reaction proceeded in just the same way as with non-irradiated acrylamide. Instability of acrylamide radicals was observed. In the course of modification the spectrum of peroxide radical or superposed spectrum of acrylamide and peroxide radicals have been found.
