Abstract: The d., viscosity, and specific elec. cond. of the molten V2O5-NaVO3 mixts. in the temp. range 650-900°C were measured. In the range of existence of V bronze, Na0.235V2O5, a stable redox system VIV/VV is formed in the system which brings about a partial electronic conductance of the melt. The mechanism of V corrosion and the influence of the electronic cond. on the corrosion process are discussed.
