Cyclization reactions of hydrazones. VII. Synthesis of some 2-aryl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-5H-1,2,4-triazino[5,6-b]indoles

Abstract:  By coupling diazonium salts with ethoxycarbonylamino-indole a series of 2-ethoxycarbonylimino-3-arylhydrazono-indolines (la — Ii) was prepared. Their cyclization yielded quantitatively the corresponding 2-aryl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-5H-1,2,4-triazino[5,6-6]indoles (IIa —IIi).
