Adsorption kinetics in microporous adsorbents

Abstract:  A method of the investigation of adsorption kinetics by means of sta­tistical moments as well as the statement of the most important relations derived by the authors for. the testing of transport mechanisms is presented. The testing of deviations from the Damköhler model is illustrated on t h e system benzene — activated carbon Supersorbon. The deviations found are interpreted as a diffusion process into the regions which represent the space between the transport pores. From the pressure dependence of the first statistical moment of kinetic curves conclusions are drawn on the pressure dependence of diffusion coefficient in the regions between the transport pores.
