Abstract: The complex-forming equil. of two heterocyclic azo-dyes 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol and 1-(2-thiazolylazo)-2-naphthol with bivalent cations Cu(II), Cd(II), Co(II), Zn(II), and Ni(II) in DMSO and DMF were studied spectrophotometrically. With several ratios c_M/c_L spectral characteristics, equil. consts., and conditioned stability consts. of chelates were detd.
