Exact derivation of the Le Chatelier-Shreder equation

Abstract: A new variant is given of the derivation of the generalized Le Chatelier-Shreder equation which describes the liquidus curve in simple eutectic systems. The derivation is based on the conditions valid for phase equil., i.e., ̅Gi,eql = Gi0,sand d̅Gi,eql = dGi0,s at P, T = const. It is taken into account that the partial molar Gibbs energy of the given component in the case of satd. soln., ̅Gi,eql, depends formally both on compn. and temp., but in fact for the case of phase equil., these parameters are not mutually independent.
