Abstract: The use of continuous recording of the transmittance change at the wavelengths λ1 10.3 μm and λ2 11.8 μm in the IR spectrum of isotactic polypropylene   for investigation of the process of isothermal crystn. is described. On the basis of the results obtained, structural parameters, i.e., conformational regularity and crystallinity, are defined which permit estn. of intra- and intermol. interactions of polymer chains in polypropylene fibers prepd. by polymer melt extrusion in the presence of additives.
