Abstract: The conditions of using the practical relation ϱ(90°) = 1.89 (m - 1)2 -α (̅α = size parameter; m = relative n; ϱ(90°) = depolarization ratio) to det. the size of polydispersion particles were investigated on the basis of theor. study involving the influence of polydispersity on the relation ϱ(90°) = f(̅α). In studying the influence of polydispersity on spectral dependence of the depolarization ratio, ϱ, the dispersion of the index of refraction was taken into account. The working relations may be used for detg. the parameters of the lognormal distribution function of neg. order.
