Approximations of the Mineralogical Composition of Magnesite Clinkers

Abstract: Potential mineralogical compositions of basic refractories attainable by mixing of two magnesite clinkers of different composition have been computed. Redox conditions during burning were considered in calculations. The procedure used enables to choose the optimal proportion of both clinkers with respect to the presence and function of phases occurring in minor amounts in the planned product.
