Abstract: The structural, electrical, and dielectric properties were studied at room temperature for the Ni1-xZnxFe204  ferrite samples (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, and 1) prepared by the usual ceramic technique. The analysis of X-ray diffraction patterns proved that the studied samples have single-phase cubic spinel structure. The lattice constant a, radius of tetrahedral ion rtet, oxygen positional parameter u, relative permittivity εr', dielectric loss tg δ, DC σdc(T) and real AC σac' (ω, T) electrical conductivities, and parameters n and B for the electrical conductivity σ2(ω, T) increase while the radius of octahedral ion roct decreases on increasing Zn2+ ion addition. σac' (ω, T) increases while εr' and tg δ decrease on increasing the frequency of the applied AC electric field. Empirical formulae were suggested for the compositional dependence of each of the electrical conductivities δ and parameters n and B, respectively.
