Abstract:

A green and straightforward method has been developed to fabricate a polyaniline (PANI) ternary composite, 2,4−DMAn−MIP−PANI−NiHCF, which exhibits exceptional microwave absorption (MA) properties. This method involves electrochemical doping of nickel hexacyanoferrate (NiHCF) and a 2,4-dimethylaniline molecularly imprinted polymer (2,4−DMAn−MIP). The results indicate that the incorporation of NiHCF and 2,4−DMAn−MIP enhances the polarization loss, conductive loss, and magnetic loss of the ternary PANI composite. This improvement is attributed to its coral—like pore structure featuring microtubular channels and the increase in PANI conductivity. The composite achieves a minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of − 25.14 dB at 17.51 GHz with a corresponding thickness of 2.0 mm, surpassing the − 19.68 dB RLmin of 2,4−DMAn−MIP doped PANI (2,4−DMAn−MIP−PANI). Additionally, the effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) reaches a maximum of 5.44 GHz at a thickness of 2.5 mm, which is superior to the 4.34 GHz achieved at a thickness of 3.0 mm for 2,4−DMAn−MIP−PANI. In contrast, conventional PANI exhibits no absorption capability when its thickness is less than 3.0 mm. Consequently, this work presents a green and simple method for preparing highly efficient PANI-MA composites.
